Emotion in Time: Who are you today?

Updated: Oct 30, 2022

Life teaches us valuable lessons to learn from, and I have had many. I am not exactly sure where to start, but when you are young and trying to navigate this world, it could take time before that light bulb moment occurs, but when it does, it may require a true cleansing of the soul, writing wrongs, letting go, getting help, forgiving others, and forgiving ourselves. It may mean so many different things for you, but when that light bulb moment occurs, it could be asking the question, Who are you today?

There are all types of lessons. Learning how to cook is a lesson, learning how to brush your teeth is a lesson, developing a new skill is a lesson, but the lessons I am referring to are the ones that keep on recurring that the soul is not happy with. A lot of my lessons were due to me searching for something that was missing, but I was looking in the wrong place. When I think back, from a teen to my 30s, I was supposed to wake up a long time ago, but I did not, which is ok. I had several light bulb moments. One of those light bulb moments, occurred in my early 20s, when I had dream, and in this dream, I was in a church, coming down the pew and my father was heading straight towards me, and he said, “I am disappointed in you”. Mind you, my father had passed away already, so seeing him in a dream tripped me out. When I woke from the dream, I asked him not to come back into my dreams. After that dream, I continued to disappoint him, but really myself. I was thriving in some areas of my life, but poor in others. As I got older, I realized why that light bulb moment occurred, and what I was seeking was within me the whole time, not outside myself.

We all at some point in life, are looking for the cure, it could be through food, a relationship, some material object. Those things are not the cure, if your soul is unhappy. I did not see that missing piece to my puzzle until recently, and when I figured it out, I said, NO MORE. I know that there are a lot of people in the world that experience certain things and are unable to pull themselves out of that Emotion in Time, and the cycle of that emotion continues and becomes a trickle effect of the same emotion, but it is time to break free from that Emotion in Time. It no longer serves you, your soul. What is the first step you can take to break free from that Emotion in Time?

As I look back on my life, on the choices I have made based on that Emotion in Time, I was searching for love in all the wrong places, and in so doing, learned valuable lessons along the way, which in part got me here, which I can say is great on a soul level, and has made me stronger mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically. Turning that negative Emotion in Time into a positive is called positive reframing. This is where you see the positive(s) to a negative. Again, this may be a harder pill to swallow for many, but the goal is to overcome it and to not let it fester. So, are you ready to release that Emotion in Time? That Emotion in Time is dead and gone, and now is the time to ask yourself, Who are you today? Because it cannot be who you were then, that is literally impossible; we evolve every day without us even knowing it or seeing it. This evolution of self-confidence has brought me the love I seeked and a closer connection to my father more now than ever before.

Take the first step in releasing that Emotion in Time and embracing Who you are today or Who you want to be moving forward.
