Growth Consciousness

At what point does one decide enough is enough? How much further down the rabbit hole does one go before you realize, OMG, what have you done? Who have I become? In this moment, it is a sign that it is time to dig yourself out of that rabbit hole and Grow A Conscience. Please take a moment and visualize yourself digging your way out of that rabbit hole and getting this feeling of being transported into a wonderful surreal state, and you start to smell and feel the fresh air. You feel that weight being removed from your soul, you feel lighter, and you say to yourself, I Made It!!! (Note to self: Celebrate your wins, big or small).

This growth in consciousness is like giving birth and now having to raise a child. You can read all the books, get advice, watch shows, read articles, talk to other parents, but see, this birth in consciousness is only for your eyes to see and experience. And yes, digging yourself out of the rabbit hole was the first step, and now that you have turned away from what is no longer serving your soul, this is where it truly begins, in not reverting backwards. As I write this, I am pondering on my own growth in consciousness in what I want and do not want, and in doing so, the biggest factor is ensuring my soul is happy. This growth in consciousness is all about your soul being happy and nothing else.

So, what do you do to stay out of the rabbit hole?

1 – A big part of it is catching yourself in the act and immediately saying to yourself, I do not have time for this shit. Is this thought pattern right or wrong and snapping yourself out of it, a.s.a.p. This requires practice, and a desire to understand Why I would think or do that in the first place, Where it comes from and How can I correct it?

2 – I can say, use rational thinking and reasoning, and the most “common” humane approach is to treat people how you would like to be treated, and yes, I put “common” in parathesis for a reason. If you want to dig yourself out of the rabbit hole, you may have to do things that are not “common,” that is different from everyone else. I say this because a lot of people are off the grid and just do things differently and in understanding that, having NO expectations of the “common” outcome. The Key is focusing on Your approach in staying in a growth mode consciousness.

3 – Think about positive role models or inspirational people. I think of Deepak Chopra, Kendrick Lamar, Jay Shetty, Prince, Michael Jackson, Michael Beckwith, Dave Chappelle, Denzil Washington, J. Cole, Jay-Z, Lauryn Hill, Leonardo DiCaprio, Bhagavad Gita (not a person, but scripture), Morgan Freeman, Kanye West, Nas, Damien Marley, Ice Cube, Coldplay, Tupac Shakur, Eckhart Tolle, Bob Marley, Madonna, Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King, Rihanna, Rumi, Beyonce, and Maya Angelou. These are just a few individuals that come to mind, and they may or may not consider themselves role models, but for me they bring something to the table that makes me think on a conscious level in some way. We all have our moments digging ourselves out of the rabbit hole, so think about the values and behaviors of those who provide you with an energy that is uplifting, supportive, creative; that makes your consciousness grow positively.

These are just a few ways in maintaining a growth consciousness mindset, and you will find what works for you; in catching yourself before that hole even begins. Practice, practice, practice and watch the true reflection of self grow consciously.
